Internships – St. Mark’s Hospital

St. Mark’s Hospital is open and accepting internships during the COVID-19 Pandemic. See guideline below:

Effective immediately, we are asking support of the following:

  • Student needs to say home if sick
  • Students will be screened as a visitor for
    1. Cough/lower respiratory infection
    2. Fever
    3. Travel to level 3 countries in the past 14 days
    4. Known exposure to a POSITIVE COVID-19 patient
  • Students will be turned away from hospital entry if determined high risk or ill
  • Students will not be able to participate in care for any patient that is in Isolation

St. Mark’s Hospital offers full-time internship opportunities to provide experience in the TR field on a secured adult behavioral health unit and in a variety of settings within the hospital setting. Therapeutic Recreation provides services within the Maternal Health and Dual Diagnosis Intensive Outpatient Programs, Complex Care patients within the hospital setting, as well as implementing groups on the adult unit. Interns participate in the interdisciplinary treatment team. St. Mark’s Hospital offers the opportunity to work with allied professionals to gain insight into interdisciplinary team approach .
