There are lots of interesting books out there that can be valuable to someone trying to self-help or self-improve. Introducing these books to and helping clients digest their concepts is an exciting option for an RT. The ‘hard work’ is already done by the books’ authors, so all we have to do expose them to the ideas in them and point out their value in relation to each clients’ life. Books like “The Color Code” by Dr Taylor Hartman and “The Five Languages of Love” by Gary Chapman have immense popularity because they are easy to read and also profound. They provide people with a context and a language to talk about the nuances of human interaction. Come learn how to illustrate these nuances through Recreation Therapy interventions.
This session’s content is CE Pre-Approved by ATRA and NCTRC.
