Full Time Recreational Therapist II – Utah Department of Corrections

This position is located at the Department of Corrections, Utah State Draper Prison with Mental Health/Clinical Services. This is a lead level job and entry hourly rate is $ 17.43. This individual is an expert in the field of recreational therapy and functionally supervises staff; provides the full range of recreational therapy activities to patients or residents of a state institution. A Recreational Therapist will perform a variety of support services such as;­­­­ ­ preparing and recommending therapeutic recreation, leisure education, and diversionary recreation activities for individual clients, group activities and units activities. Performs recreational therapy assessments and interest surveys and implements recreational therapy programs for individual clients. Supervises therapeutic exercises, leisure education and recreation activities.
